I'm beginning to regret getting that cartilage piercing now. I think it's gotten infected or something. It's not super painful or anything, and I was told that it does happen sometimes, but my mom's using it as an example of why I should listen to her.
Oh well. At least it's easy to treat? Thank goodness for sea salt and hot water.

It's probably common knowledge to most people (or at least, common sense) but cartilage piercings? They hurt. They really hurt. I'm glad I decided to only get the one! I even got a discount 'cause apparently the girl who did the piercing liked manga. Ha! So something good has come out of this. And I totally don't care what my Mom thinks...preserve that for future generations. I don't think I'll say it again!

Even though I've outgrown the Easter Bunny, I still adore Easter! Normally it's when the spring weather starts really coming along. But since we've had good spring weather for so long now, I'm expecting summer weather soon. I wonder if that means that Pentecost is when we should expect fall weather? That would be weird!

The anime club has stopped chasing me around now. Hallelujah! They're off chasing some other poor girl. I would feel sympathetic for her, but I'm just glad I've slipped under their radar again. Let me tell you, it is no fun spending so many of your breaks inbetween classes hiding in the girls' bathroom while trying to not make a noise, and then turning up late to classes! I was really starting to worry that I might fail a couple of my classes, but some of the teachers have been surprisingly sympathetic about it.
Oh, and I've totally decided what I'm gonna do next summer, or hopefully someday in the future: go see some of the castles in Europe! Especially the ones in, you know... Romania...

Daylight savings time needs to disappear into the ether. Just like St. Patrick's Day should too. I mean, it's just silly. There were no snakes in Ireland, I looked it up. The climate's too cold. And he wasn't even Irish, I looked that up too. He was Roman British, like Saint Alban. He doesn't get nearly enough credit, Saint Alban! I don't know why. He's pretty fascinating.

Okay, so I've decided: once I graduate next year, I'm totally moving somewhere else. Like, somewhere rainy so I can have better excuses to curl up with a book and a cup ot hot tea. I like New York and all, but it is waaay too busy. I really like this little church I've found though! It's so not church like but it is!

So it's good to know that the remainder of my days in High School will be spent hiding from the Anime fan club and...well, everyone else. Ever.
I totally understand why some people drop out now, by the way.

I've been at the local church most of the day today, just praying for Boston and listening to the news radio.
I don't know what else to do. Those poor, poor, people. They didn't deserve what happened to them. This is London, all over again.

So, the Giants won the Superbowl, huh? Good for them. I don't really like sports that much, but I guess if it makes people happy, it's all that matters.
Uh...yeah. I'm gonna go back to reading House of Night book two now. I should probably stop with the vampire romances now if I ever want to get a moment's peace, but whatever.

It is too cold to do anything but stay inside and read. While drinking a hot drink in the comfort of a sweatsuit and warm socks.
So, if anyone wants to know, I'll be drinking hot peppermint tea while reading the book I got from the store the other day. Unlike some people, I read from printed things and not, y'know, RUMOR.

I had the best ever New Year's Eve. I mean, seriously. My Mom let me go to Times Square with one of her friends and afterwards we got fried chicken. It's super good with cornbread. It was also the only place that was open. Took us forever to get out of there, though. They're not kidding when they call it the crossroads of the world!
Also, my laptop's gotten like, superfast...are there any viruses that cause that? I mean, it would be weird if that was true but I can't think of any other reason why.

I can't believe Christmas is over already! All that work and excitement and then poof, it's gone! I don't put up the tree or anything, but I do go to the movies- this year I went and saw Breaking Dawn Part One. It was fun, but the constant refrain in my head of 'Vampires do not work that way' and 'Why are you here, you have homework' kinda dampened it. And no, I didn't get seizures or anything from it, but my eyes hurt afterwards.
So, I'm Clarissa. I don't think that many people probably know about Integra Hellsing, but, uh, she's been here for about a week now? It's all kind of weird, I mean, I don't know how ANYONE puts up with it.
But...yeah. This is like, my first New Years in NYC and so I think I'm gonna go see the ball drop. If my mom lets me.
